Ethan Yang and his team at Archetype Construction completed an extensive, down-to-the-studs remodel of my single-family home project.

The project was substantial and complex. It included major structural and foundation work, a new concrete slab, moment frame, wall reconfiguration, floor-joist leveling, and the complete replacement of all the home’s major systems, including new 200-amp electrical service, plumbing, forced air heating, a tankless water heater, roofing, insulation and waterproofing. The work also included new windows and sliding doors, siding, flooring, drywall, bathrooms, kitchen cabinetry, countertops, tile, appliances, finishes, and interior and exterior painting.

Ethan’s workmanship was of a very high standard and he has an exceptional eye for detail. He is a perfectionist in the best sense of the word and took the time to ask questions and fully understand my vision and what I was trying to achieve.

His communication throughout the project was excellent. He kept me informed about progress, upcoming decisions and any changes along the way. Ethan, the architect and I worked extremely well together as a team, which was particularly important given the scale and complexity of the renovation.

Despite the extensive scope of work, Ethan completed the project within budget. The finished home was exceptional, and the quality of the renovation contributed to us achieving a very strong price when we ultimately sold the property.
